”We need to start loving and honouring our legends while they are alive. People tear you down while you are here, and love you when your gone” (Tyrese Gibson).
After hearing the sad passing of a true legend, this has to be the best tweet I had read all morning.
Whitney Houston indeed was a music legend, and I think the word ”legend’ gets thrown around way too much in this day and age. I mean I like Adele, but she is hardly a legend..
After a terrible few years I mean this outcome was inevitable really, but it doesn’t mean it’s any less painful. I say this like I personally know her, and not many of us did BUT her early music to her ”My Love Is You Love” album was simply phenomenal. Let us not forget that magical moment she teamed up with Mariah Carey to sing ”When you Believe” on the Prince of Eygpt soundtrack.
Or her moment in ”The Bodyguard” or ”Waiting to Exhale”…oh my days who remembers ”The Preacher’s Wife”?? A wonderful actress as she was a singer, no doubts.
Ahhhhh Whitney, only 48..so so sad
I know we would all like someone to blame and it’s only natural we are all going to look to semi- mad man Bobby Brown. Yes she might have been this good Christian girl before the devil cornered her BUT some demons only come out when we want them to.
I don’t think this is the time to play the blame game, it is now time to look after Bobbi Kristina, as though the world mourns the death of a superstar, she is mourning the death of her mother.
We have all seen the photos of her daughter being caught up on drugs and I truly, deeply hope that girl is surrounded by people who can look after her, so she doesn’t follow her mothers steps.
I’m off to play myself some Whitney back to back..starting with ”I Learned From The Best” and then moving onto the woman’s anthem of ”It’s Not Right”…what tunes!
As I said about Amy, I wish Whitney to have found peace with her troubled soul
Love and Light x
Whitney Houston (1963-2012)

So true, ‘legend’ is only true of someone like Whitney who’s music and beauty will live on long after we are all gone. it’s beautiful seeing the respect and admiration from so many media outlets but I just feel its all too late. RIP Whitney, always in my heart and never forgotten x
Definitely Arthur. The woman was a musical goddess. X
